Stephenie Meyers
Stephenie Meyers was a totally inspired author in her creation of the world renown Twilight Saga. Over the past few years almost anywhere you looked you could spot a picture of white-faced, vampire-looking Edward Cullen or a picture of Taylor Lautner posing shirtless with a fierce look on his face.  Something about this crazy book drove millions of people crazy, and to this day, I still haven’t the slightest idea what it was or why it was intriguing. All I know is that Stephenie Meyers put extensive time and effort into her series thanks to her motivation and inspiration.
On her personal website, stepheniemeyers.com, Stephenie explains the inspiration to produce her award winning novels. She said it all started on June 2nd, 2003 when she woke up from a very vivid dream involving an average girl and a beautiful, sparkly vampire having a conversation about how they were falling in love but how he (the vampire) was attracted to the scent of her blood and how he could hardly contain himself from killing her. This sparked the idea in her head to put this dream down on paper because it was too intense and vivid for her to let herself forget. Between all the things a mom has to do in a day, she was constantly thinking and rethinking about the dream and coming up with new things to add to the story. Stephenie explains how she would find time every single day, usually at night, to write at least something.  She’d have good days where she could finished multiple chapters in one sitting, and she’d also have bad days where she could only muster up a page or two at a time. With this almost obsessive compulsive work ethic on her book, she completed not just one, but a whole series of books, all inspired by that one vivid dream that Stephenie had.
